At the invitation of the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Prime Minister of Kingdom of Spain Pedro Sánchez, authorized by President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Luong Cuong, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc will lead the delegation of Vietnam to attend the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development and pay a working visit to the Kingdom of Spain.
The conference will address new and emerging issues, and the urgent need to fully implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and support reform of the international financial architecture.
FfD4 will assess the progress made in the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus, the Doha Declaration and the Addis Ababa Action agenda.
The International Conferences on Financing for Development are the only space where leaders from all governments, along with international and regional organizations, financial and trade institutions, businesses, civil society and the UN System unite at the highest levels, fostering stronger international cooperation.
Ahead of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, UN deputy chief Amina J. Mohammed said that the Conference offers a chance to "change course, to catalyze investment, to address debt and sustainable development, to reform the rules of the system and to put people's needs at the center”.
