Vietnamese Embassy in Poland celebrates 75 years of diplomatic relations with a special art program

The program was attended by many distinguished guests from both countries. On the Polish side, notable attendees included Mr. Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Ms. Bożena Żelazowska, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage; Mr. Alvin Gajadhur, Advisor to the President of Poland; and Ms. Joanna Skoczek, Polish Ambassador to Vietnam. Also present were representatives from various ministries and sectors, members of the National Assembly, scholars, heads of research institutes, members of friendship organizations, and long-standing friends who have supported Vietnam throughout various historical periods.
On the Vietnamese side, the program was hounored to welcome Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong, Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai, representatives of Vietnamese art troupes, Vietnamese associations, businesses, overseas students and a large Vietnamese community in Poland.
The event also drew members of diplomatic corps and more than 600 Polish and international friends. The auditorium of the Polski Theater was filled with a warm and emotional atmosphere.

Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai affirmed that the event was an opportunity for the two countries to look back on the proud 75-year journey of the Vietnam-Poland friendship, which was built and nurtured with countless sentiments, sharing and cooperation between generations of leaders and people of the two countries.
Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai emphasized that over the past 75 years, bilateral relations have been continuously strengthened and expanded in all areas from politics - diplomacy, economics - trade, education - training to culture - people-to-people exchange.
The Ambassador also acknowledged the active and increasingly prominent role of the Vietnamese community in Poland, through its ability to integrate into the host society, preserve the national cultural identity and effectively contribute to the friendship between the two countries.

Deputy Minister Ho An Phong, speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government and people of Poland for their longstanding friendship and valuable support throughout Vietnam’s development journey. He emphasized that the art program is part of the Vietnam Culture – Tourism Week in Poland, and also a concrete step in implementing the outcomes of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to Poland, along with the high-level Vietnamese delegation, in January. The event aims to widely promote Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage while opening new avenues for cooperation in tourism, heritage preservation, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Through this occasion, the Vietnamese Government reaffirmed its appreciation for the relationship with Poland and its commitment to further deepening the Comprehensive Partnership in the time ahead.

Appreciating the continuous development of the bilateral relationship over the past 75 years, especially the achievements in cooperation in training, culture, trade and people-to-people exchange, Secretary of State Władysław Bartoszewski believes that this relationship will continue to be strengthened on the basis of mutual respect, sharing common interests and working towards sustainable development in the context of many global changes.

After the speeches, there was a special art program with the theme “Quintessence of Vietnamese culture” performed by artists from the Vietnam National Music and Dance Theater.
The elaborately staged performances such as “Non nuoc huu tinh”, “Sac mau co do”, “Que huong ba mien”, “Chum flute”, “Tinh ta bien bac dong xanh”, or the concerts combined with Polish folk music such as “Niech żyje bal” and “Czerwone jagody” left a deep impression on the audience. The performances not only have had high artistic value but also conveyed a subtle message about the beauty of culture, tradition, love for the homeland and the aspiration for peace, cooperation and friendship among nations.
Right at the Polski Theater lobby, in addition to the art program, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland coordinated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the opening of the Exhibition "Colours of Vietnamese Culture" organized by the Vietnam Cultural and Art Exhibition Center.

The exhibition introduces to the Polish public unique traditional handicraft products from famous Vietnamese craft villages such as Bat Trang pottery, Van Phuc silk, Phu Vinh rattan and bamboo, Hanoi lacquerware, etc. These works not only reflect the sophisticated technical level and aesthetic sense of Vietnamese artisans but also tell the unique cultural story of each region.

Immediately after the art performance and exhibition tour, distinguished guests and international friends enjoyed a unique Vietnamese culinary space, with many traditional dishes, demonstrating the hospitality, ingenuity and rich culinary culture of the Vietnamese people.
The dishes contributed to creating a multi-sensory cultural experience for Polish and international friends, enhancing the promotion of Vietnamese culture - tourism - cuisine in a synchronous, sophisticated and effective manner.

The program concluded in a warm and emotional atmosphere. It was not only an occasion to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Vietnam–Poland diplomatic relations, but also a vivid demonstration of the enduring friendship between the two peoples—beautifully expressed through every song, dance, handicraft, traditional dish, and shared smile.
With a solid foundation built over the past 75 years, both countries have every reason to look forward to a deeper, more comprehensive, and sustainable partnership in the years ahead.
