Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang highly appreciated the positive and substantive development momentum of the Vietnam-New Zealand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; affirming that New Zealand is a sincere and reliable friend, sharing many values and similar perspectives with Vietnam.
The Deputy Minister suggested that both sides should continue efforts to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, strengthen political trust through exchanges of delegations at all levels, and expand substantive cooperation in trade, investment, development cooperation, education, agriculture, science and technology, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

In the context of complex and unpredictable global and regional developments, with multilateralism facing many challenges, the Deputy Minister proposed that Vietnam and New Zealand continue to enhance information sharing, consultation, and close coordination at multilateral forums.
The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude for New Zealand's valuable support and assistance throughout Vietnam's participation in APEC over the years, as well as in preparations for the year 2027, including training and capacity-building programs for multilateral diplomatic staff.
The Deputy Minister suggested that New Zealand continue to accompany and closely coordinate with Vietnam to successfully organize APEC 2027.

Minister Todd McClay, Deputy Minister Vangelis Vitalis, and other New Zealand partners expressed their admiration for Vietnam's development achievements and were pleased with the positive developments in the bilateral relationship. They affirmed Vietnam as a reliable partner and expressed a desire for both countries to work closely to enhance the role of middle powers in regional and global issues.
New Zealand congratulated Vietnam on successfully organizing the ASEAN Future Forum, including the ASEAN-New Zealand Sub-regional Cooperation Forum, and thanked Vietnam for its active role in promoting ASEAN-New Zealand relations while coordinating ASEAN-New Zealand relations from 2024 to 2027.

New Zealand agreed to closely coordinate with Vietnam in the activities of APEC 2027.
