During the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed his pleasure in meeting Secretary Shri Kumaran again and appreciated the organization of the international seminar on digital transformation, one of the significant bilateral activities marking the beginning of the 10th anniversary of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and India (2016 - 2026).
Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong shared the important outcomes of the recent 14th National Party Congress and thanked the Government and major political parties of India for sending congratulatory messages on the success of the Congress.
The Deputy Foreign Minister affirmed that Vietnam continues to pursue an independent, self-reliant, peaceful, cooperative, and developmental foreign policy, diversifying and multilateralizing its foreign relations; emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties with traditional and major partners, including India.
Secretary Shri Kumaran congratulated the success of the 14th National Party Congress, highly appreciating the Congress for setting forth major policies and decisions guiding the country's development in the new phase. He expressed confidence that with the determination and vision of the Party and State leadership, Vietnam will achieve its development goals and become a high-income developed country by 2045.
On this occasion, Secretary Shri Kumaran also conveyed the congratulations of Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, India's External Affairs Minister to Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung on his election to the Politburo.

Both sides shared positive developments in Vietnam-India relations in recent times; assessing that cooperation in various fields continues to expand and deepen, yielding practical results, especially in defense-security, economic-trade and investment, science-technology, cultural cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges.
In this spirit, the two officials agreed to closely coordinate to strengthen political relations, promote high-level delegation exchanges, and consultation mechanisms between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs in 2026, effectively organizing activities to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Additionally, both sides agreed to coordinate with other Ministries and sectors to effectively implement the achieved cooperation agreements, particularly in strategically significant and mutually supportive areas such as defense-security, energy, essential minerals, science-technology, and digital transformation, thereby creating momentum for stronger Vietnam-India relations in the new phase, commensurate with the potential and political trust between the two countries.
Both sides also agreed to enhance coordination and support each other at regional and international forums, support each other's initiatives, contributing to maintaining peace, stability, security, and cooperation in the region and the world.
