On behalf of the Ministry's leadership, Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong warmly congratulated Ambassador Khampau Ernthavanh and all the staff of the Lao Embassy. He highly appreciated the significant achievements Laos has made in nation-building, development, and defense over the past 50 years, especially during the 40 years of renovation. Political and social stability continues, the living standards of the Lao people have improved, foreign relations have expanded, and Laos' international reputation and standing have been consistently elevated.
Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong expressed his delight at the breakthrough developments in Vietnam-Laos relations in recent times. Particularly in 2025, under the close leadership of the two Parties and States, both sides have actively promoted key areas of cooperation, deepening and enhancing the effectiveness of bilateral relations.
In 2025, both sides successfully organized numerous meaningful events to commemorate important anniversaries, including the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, the 80th National Day of Vietnam, and upcoming activities celebrating the 50th National Day of Laos. Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong emphasized that the close coordination in organizing these significant events is particularly meaningful. It contributes to promoting the tradition of solidarity between the two Parties and States, enhancing the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, and preserving and fostering this spirit for future generations.
Praising Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh's contributions to strengthening cooperative relations, the Deputy Minister expressed hope that the Ambassador and the Lao Embassy staff will continue to closely collaborate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in preparing for important diplomatic activities between the two countries.

Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh expressed gratitude to Deputy Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong for representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in congratulating the Embassy on the occasion of the 50th National Day of Laos and the 105th birth anniversary of President Kaysone Phomvihane. This gesture reflects the close and friendly brotherly relations between the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Lao Embassy.
The Lao Ambassador also appreciated the very positive evaluations of the cooperative relationship between Laos and Vietnam, as well as the personal and collective efforts of the Lao Embassy staff. He affirmed the commitment to further strengthen cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in implementing the Embassy's tasks, aiming to contribute to the development and enhancement of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
