On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs leadership and as a member of the Subcommittee on Communication for the National Party Congress, Deputy Minister Thu Hang warmly welcomed and thanked the delegation for visiting Vietnam on this occasion. She affirmed that the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam is a historically significant event, marking a pivotal moment in Vietnam's development journey. It not only reviews and evaluates 40 years of Renewal achievements but also sets goals and visions through decisive and robust policies, propelling Vietnam into a new era of development.
Deputy Foreign Minister Thu Hang stated that in the context of rapidly evolving and unpredictable global and regional situations in 2025, under the Party's leadership, Vietnam has made significant breakthroughs in institutional reforms. This includes the issuance of nine strategic resolutions in key development areas, reorganizing development spaces, administrative boundaries, and implementing a two-tier local government model.
Vietnam continues to shine in the region, with its economy reaching a scale of 510 billion USD, a growth rate of over 8%, a per capita income nearing 5,000 USD, exports hitting a record 800 billion USD, and attracting over 20 million international tourists. National defense and security remain steadfast. The country's international standing is continuously strengthened and elevated. These achievements have been widely reported by international media, spreading to the global community.

With this spirit, the Deputy Minister instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate the international journalists' work during the Congress, thereby positively, comprehensively, and objectively conveying the messages and outcomes of the 14th National Party Congress to the international community.
The Deputy Minister expressed her hope that the journalists would have a successful trip, witnessing Vietnam's socio-economic achievements firsthand and experiencing its cultural and historical beauty. This would further promote Vietnam's image to international friends and help the world better understand the country's development path.

Thanking Vietnam for its warm reception, representatives from international media and the overseas Vietnamese community expressed their honor to visit Vietnam, directly witnessing the people's excitement and covering the significant political event of the 14th National Party Congress.
They highlighted and affirmed that the tremendous achievements over 40 years of Renewal are vivid evidence of the Communist Party of Vietnam's correct leadership. Vietnam is a prime example of a nation's successful development. The journalists wished the Congress success and pledged to truthfully and objectively convey the Congress's content and decisions, thereby not only informing about Vietnam's development but also spreading messages of peace, friendship, and social progress to global readers.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang addressed many questions from journalists regarding Vietnam's socio-economic development. Through journalists from overseas Vietnamese media outlets, she emphasized the importance of the overseas Vietnamese community in the struggle for national independence and development.
The Deputy Foreign Minister hopes that the overseas Vietnamese community will continue to accompany the people in the country, making significant contributions to leading Vietnam and its people into an era of strong and prosperous development.
