Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang assessed that the overseas Vietnamese community is growing stronger in scale, diversity, and youthfulness, playing a particularly important role in promoting foreign relations, economy, and science and technology, and making positive contributions to the cause of national construction and defense. She affirmed that the Party and State always listen to and absorb the contributions of overseas Vietnamese in the country's policy-making process, especially policies concerning overseas Vietnamese. The active participation of compatriots in contributing opinions to the recent 14th Party Congress documents, or their first-time participation in the overseas Vietnamese parade at the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification and the 80th National Day on September 2, is clear evidence of the strong bond between overseas Vietnamese and the country.

In the context of the country undergoing a strong transformation with rapid, decisive innovation and specific development goals, the Deputy Minister welcomed the contributions of talent, intellect, and resources and the sense of responsibility of the delegates. She hopes the delegates will continue to set an example, lead movements to promote cohesion and raise legal compliance awareness within the community, focus on training and nurturing the next generation of association leaders, and mobilize the active participation of overseas Vietnamese in the country's development, especially in key and strategic areas.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang invited the delegates to attend the 5th Global Overseas Vietnamese Conference scheduled for August and affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese will continue to accompany and support the activities of the delegates and the overseas Vietnamese community in the coming time.
