Of the total, 691 were infected with the virus domestically, including 551 linked with Da Nang city since the latest coronavirus outbreak began there on July 25, and 457 were imported into the country.
35 people have succumbed to Covid-19 so far, all of them with previous comorbidities.
Among the patients still under treatment, seven have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, five twice and one thrice. Notably, there is no patient in critical conditions.
There are more than 13,650 people having close contact with confirmed cases or coming from pandemic-hit regions under quarantine at present, including 149 at hospitals, and the remainder at concentrated quarantine sites, at home, or accommodation facilities.
The nation has gone the 51st consecutive day without any new infections in the community.
