Commission for Internal Affairs receives the Ho Chi Minh Order
WVR - On January 5, in Hanoi, the Party Central Committee's Commission for Internal Affairs held a ceremony to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Party's Internal Affairs sector (January 5, 1966 - January 5, 2026) and received the Ho Chi Minh Order for the second time. In his speech recalling the sector's tradition, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Internal Affairs Commission Pham Dinh Trac affirmed that over 60 years of development, especially after more than 10 years since its re-establishment, despite many difficulties and challenges, with the leadership and direction of the General Secretary, the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, effective coordination and assistance from departments, ministries, agencies, the Fatherland Front, central organizations, and localities, timely encouragement from the press and the people, the Party's Internal Affairs sector has made great efforts, shown high determination, and achieved significant results, deserving to be the "General Staff", the "goalkeeper" for the Party in internal affairs, anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity, and judicial reform, contributing significantly to strengthening the people's trust in the leadership of the Party, the State, and the regime.
With its glorious tradition, the Party's Internal Affairs sector will continue to achieve many victories, alongside the country advancing into an era of prosperity, civilization, happiness, and firmly moving towards socialism. Internal affairs, anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity, and judicial reform aim to maintain stability for national development.
The sector closely coordinates with advisory and assisting agencies of the Party, internal affairs agencies, effectively grasping, analyzing, researching, forecasting the situation, strategically advising the Party according to assigned functions and tasks; advising on effectively handling complex issues, risks, and potential threats to ensure proactive management in all situations; effectively implementing internal affairs, especially anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity, and judicial reform to combat corruption, wastefulness, negativity while serving socio-economic development and building a clean, strong Party, contributing to enhancing the Party's leadership and governance capacity.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam praised and congratulated the significant achievements of the generations of officials and civil servants in the Party's Internal Affairs sector over the past 60 years. The sector has consistently maintained its role as a specialized agency of the Party, one of the particularly important pillars, contributing to maintaining the Party's discipline, the State's laws, and the people's trust.
Since its re-establishment, the sector has increasingly demonstrated its effectiveness as the Party's strategic advisory body in internal affairs, anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity, and judicial reform; making positive contributions to building, rectifying the Party and the political system, building a socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, and for the people.
The General Secretary emphasized the need to build a clean, strong Party and political system; build a socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, and for the people; fight against corruption, wastefulness, negativity; firmly protect national security, maintain social order and safety; create a safe, healthy environment for rapid and sustainable national development as a regular task and historical responsibility of the Party's Internal Affairs sector as the country enters a new development phase.
The sector must continue to uphold its tradition, constantly innovate thinking, methods, and approaches, elevate strategic advisory roles, steadfastly fulfill its role as the "goalkeeper" for the Party in internal affairs, anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity, and judicial reform.

Emphasizing that the Party's Internal Affairs sector must deeply grasp the spirit of conducting internal affairs not only correctly but also precisely, not only timely but also ahead, not only strictly but also humanely, the General Secretary urged the sector to focus on improving the quality of research, forecasting, and strategic advisory, proactively identifying and advising on timely handling of major, new, difficult issues, advising on concretizing and institutionalizing the Party's policies and viewpoints on internal affairs, anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity, and judicial reform in the Party's 14th Congress documents, accurately identifying key areas and breakthroughs.
The Party's Internal Affairs sector must embody the Party's determination in fighting corruption, wastefulness, negativity "without forbidden zones, without exceptions", "everyone is equal before the law"; advising on promoting, creating stronger, more effective, and sustainable transformations in anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity.
Promote the role of the Standing Agency, truly being the "center", "link", "focal point" in advising, coordinating, and harmonizing; while emphasizing anti-wastefulness to liberate and effectively utilize resources for national development.
The General Secretary called on the sector to strengthen coordination with functional agencies, closely monitor the situation, promptly advise the Politburo, the Secretariat, and local authorities in leading and directing the resolution of complex, prominent issues on national security, social order and safety, avoiding passivity and surprises; effectively handling citizen reception, complaint, and denunciation resolution from the grassroots level, preventing prolonged issues and "hot spots".

Each official in the Party's Internal Affairs sector must always play a key role in upholding the Party's discipline, resolutely preventing violations of the Party's policies, viewpoints, and guidelines; strengthening inspection and supervision of the implementation of the Party's policies, resolutions, and State laws in internal affairs; resolutely preventing the embedding of group interests, local interests in the formulation, issuance, and enforcement of laws; enhancing power control, anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity in the operation of the two-tier local government apparatus, ensuring true integrity, closeness to the people, grassroots engagement, serving the people.
Particularly emphasize building a clean, strong Party's Internal Affairs sector, truly honest; building a team of loyal, steadfast, politically resilient, diligent, thrifty, honest, impartial, courageous officials and civil servants to protect what is right, resolutely fighting against what is wrong, possessing deep knowledge in internal affairs, anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity, and judicial reform, truly being a reliable support for the Party and a strong bridge between the Party and the people.
The General Secretary expressed confidence that although the tasks set for the Party's Internal Affairs sector in the new phase are extremely heavy and complex, with its glorious tradition and resilience forged through challenges, the sector will continue to be a loyal, reliable, sharp force of the Party, achieving many victories and significant achievements, worthy of the Party's and people's trust, maintaining discipline, law, and the regime's purity, making worthy contributions to the cause of building and protecting the socialist Fatherland.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary To Lam presented the Ho Chi Minh Order to the Party Central Committee's Commission for Internal Affairs, which has made significant contributions and achieved outstanding achievements in the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
