During the meeting, Chief Le Cong Dung warmly congratulated Mr. Thamer Mohammed A. Algosaibi on his appointment as Ambassador to Vietnam. He highly appreciated the positive and comprehensive developments in Vietnam-Saudi Arabia relations in recent times, especially in the fields of economy, trade, investment, and labor. Bilateral trade turnover has maintained stable growth, with Saudi Arabia continuing to be one of Vietnam's important partners in the Middle East. Cooperation in energy, finance – banking, and exchanges of delegations at all levels have been increasingly promoted, contributing to strengthening the bilateral relationship foundation.

The Chief affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including the State Protocol Department and Foreign Affairs Interpreter, will always closely coordinate and create favorable conditions for the Ambassador to successfully complete his term in Vietnam, thereby making a practical contribution to the development of bilateral relations.
For his part, Ambassador Thamer Mohammed A. Algosaibi expressed his honor to take on the position in Vietnam and sincerely thanked the Chief Le Cong Dung for the warm reception and open, substantive discussions. The Ambassador affirmed his commitment to do his utmost to promote the cooperative relationship between the two countries to develop more deeply, effectively, and substantively, in line with the common interests of both sides.
Highly appreciating Vietnam's impressive socio-economic development achievements in recent times, the Ambassador noted that Vietnam is increasingly asserting its important role and position in Southeast Asia and is a priority partner for Saudi Arabia in the region. The Ambassador also expressed his desire to further strengthen cooperation in potential-rich fields such as trade, investment, renewable energy, infrastructure development, and tourism, while enhancing the connection between the business communities of the two countries.
