Celebration of the 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Embassy of India in Ha Noi celebrated the 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on November 12.

Members of Indian community, Friends of India in Vietnam, students of Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre joined the celebration which began with paying the floral tributes to Guru Nanak Dev Ji. This was followed by a cultural programme highlighting Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings and philosophy to the creation of a harmonious society based on the ethos of tolerance, peace, communal harmony, women empowerment and protection of natural resources.

A photo exhibition on Guru Nanak Dev Ji and display of books on Sikh religion and its teachings were also organised at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre. Eternal values of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings of love, peace, equality and brotherhood was remembered by the speakers and the participants.
