Binh Dinh province to spend 214 billion VND on housing support this year
Under the scheme on eradication of dilapidated houses in 2025, the central province of Binh Dinh will spend over 214 billion VND (8.42 million USD) on supporting the construction and repairs of houses for 4,429 families of nation contributors and martyrs, poor and near-poor households and those that have just escaped poverty.

Specifically, a total of 2,727 households will receive 60 million VND each to build new houses, while 1,702 others will get 30 million VND each to repair their homes. The funding will come from the central, provincial and local budgets, private capital, and other legal sources.
The provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs to coordinate with the Departments of Construction and Finance to guide the People's Committees of districts, townhips, and Quy Nhon city in implementing the plan. They will provide guidance as well as monitor, supervise, and compile reports on results to submit to the provincial steering committee on eradication of dilapidated houses and the provincial People's Committee.
The Department of Construction was assigned to study and design standard model houses that meet technical, quality, and cultural requirements specific to each region to assist beneficiaries in building appropriate housing.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environment will be responsible for issues related to land allocation and grant of land use rights certificates to those receiving housing support as regulated.
The provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organisations were assigned to proactively mobilise resources supporting the implementation of the housing scheme.
Since mid-2024, the Organisation Board of the provincial Party Commitee and the Standing Board of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee have flexibly utilised the For the Poor fund to assist many poor households in relacing temporary and dilapidated houses with new ones, resulting in hundreds of houses built or repaired.
