Art programme to tell stories to celebrate 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory

WVR/VNA - On May 6 evening, a special art programme themed “Dien Bien Phu – Moc vang lich su” (Dien Bien Phu – A historical golden milestone) will be held in the northwestern province of Dien Bien in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954-2024).

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the programme will be broadcast live on the Vietnam Television’s VTV1 channel.

It will use modern technologies to redraw a panorama of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign and provide the audience with an overview of today’s Dien Bien.

The programme aims at honouring the sacrifices made during the wartime and highlighting the value of independence and freedom today, thereby sending out a message of the desire for peace to humanity around the world.
