In the early days of November 2025, prolonged heavy rains caused deep flooding, flash floods, and landslides in numerous provinces in the South Central and Central Highlands regions, severely affecting the lives and production activities of the people.
With floodwaters yet to recede and relief efforts facing many challenges, Agribank promptly activated social welfare resources, distributing them to branches to support localities: Khanh Hoa 3 billion VND, Phu Yen 2 billion VND, Binh Dinh 2 billion VND, Lam Dong 2 billion VND, and Lam Dong II 2 billion VND. The funds are used to provide essential supplies, support healthcare and education, and enable residents and customers to stabilise their lives quickly.
Khanh Hoa is one of the hardest-hit areas, with over 2,500 houses flooded, 350 hectares of aquaculture damaged, more than 5,000 people evacuated, and dozens of fatalities. On the morning of November 22, 2025, an Agribank delegation led by Mr Nguyen Tien Truong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of the Central Region Representative Office (VPMT) – directly handed over 3 billion VND to support Khanh Hoa province at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province. Mr Truong expressed his condolences to the authorities and people of Khanh Hoa, affirming that Agribank will continue to accompany Khanh Hoa province and its customers affected by storms and floods through credit policies that support reduced interest rates, debt restructuring, and loans for production recovery.

At Agribank Dien Khanh Branch – where floodwaters rose over 1.2 meters, damaging some ATMs, electronic devices, and vehicles – to quickly restore transaction activities and ensure continuity in providing financial services to the people, Agribank Khanh Hoa Branch plans to implement various measures, such as repairing ATM systems and electrical equipment as soon as conditions permit, and plans to replace damaged equipment to resume operations promptly. Here, the delegation handed over 10 million VND from VPMT to support the branch in overcoming the aftermath and quickly restoring customer service activities.
