In his dialogue with students, Ambassador Jaya Ratnam reviewed major achievements in Vietnam–Singapore relations, notably the Vietnam–Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) model, a symbol of effective and sustainable economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador noted that Vietnam is currently the world’s 30th largest economy, while Singapore remains a leading foreign investor in Vietnam. Beyond economic ties, the two countries are expanding cooperation in strategic areas such as education, people-to-people exchange, digital transformation and green growth—key pillars shaping the future of bilateral relations and their shared role within ASEAN.

Highlighting Singapore’s contributions to Vietnam in humanitarian assistance and disaster response—reflecting the close friendship between the two nations—Ambassador Ratnam also shared that Singapore had recently delivered relief supplies to support Vietnamese communities affected by flooding, further strengthening the spirit of long-standing cooperation, not only economically but also in assuming shared regional responsibilities.

The exchange between the Ambassador and students was lively, featuring questions on educational cooperation opportunities, student exchange programs, cross-border cybercrime prevention and strategies to promote Vietnam’s tourism in a new context. The Ambassador listened attentively and offered candid reflections, inspiring students in their academic and research pursuits.

She thanked the Ambassador for his heartfelt, practical and inspiring remarks, which demonstrated his special affection for Vietnamese youth and his strong commitment to Vietnam–Singapore friendship.

Ambassador Huong emphasized the need to further strengthen cooperation, exchanges and internship opportunities for DAV students in the time ahead.

The seminar concluded in a warm, friendly and inspiring atmosphere. It not only enhanced students’ understanding of the dynamic and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore, but also opened valuable opportunities for practical engagement in learning, research and international integration.
