The five-month event, which will run through September 30, aims to introduce signature products from ASEAN member states to the Republic of Korea (RoK) public.

Under the theme “Bigger, Bolder, Broader: A New ASEAN in Every Detail”, the exhibition has been significantly expanded in scale compared to the annual ASEAN Trade Fair series organized by the AKC since 2014.

According to the plan, excluding newly admitted Timor-Leste, the remaining 10 ASEAN member states will participate in monthly rotating pairs: Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia in May; Cambodia and Malaysia in June; Laos and the Philippines in July; Myanmar and Thailand in August; and Singapore together with Vietnam in September. The AKC also plans to launch a special promotional program for Timor-Leste.

Exhibited products span a wide range of sectors, including food and beverages, fashion and accessories, books, creative industries, and halal lifestyle products.

According to the AKC’s exhibition announcement, the event is designed not only to promote ASEAN products to South Korean consumers but also to create practical business opportunities for ASEAN companies seeking to enter or expand in the RoK market.

Participating businesses will be invited to RoK to join market-entry support programs, including business seminars, direct business matching sessions, and on-site visits to industrial facilities and relevant organizations.

“The exhibition will also feature financial consulting sessions organized in cooperation with the ASEAN-Korea Financial Cooperation Centre in Jakarta, offering guidance on issues such as payment systems, remittance services, company registration, investment attraction, and market expansion strategies”, the AKC said in a press release.

Experts from organizations including Shinhan Bank, Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC), BlissVine Ventures, and local tax consulting firms are expected to provide consultations for participating companies.

Throughout the exhibition period, a variety of online and offline programs will also be held to encourage public engagement.
