In a solemn atmosphere, before the spirits of the Heroes and Martyrs, Minister Le Hoai Trung and the delegates respectfully laid a wreath bearing the words: “Eternal gratitude to the Heroes and Martyrs”, and observed a moment of silence to honour the immense contributions of the generations who dedicated their youth, blood, and lives for the nation's independence and freedom, for the happiness of the people.
The annual commemoration of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day is an occasion for the entire Party, people, and army to reflect on the glorious history of the nation, express gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes and Martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, revolution contributors, and the families of martyrs. It also serves as a reminder of the responsibility to preserve and promote revolutionary achievements, continue to strengthen the great national unity, and firmly build and protect the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new development phase.
