Vorarlberg boasts Austria's most dynamic economy, with advanced technology and an increasing number of businesses investing in Vietnam for the long term.

During the meetings, Ambassador Vu Le Thai Hoang introduced Vietnam's socio-economic development, the robust reforms underway, and the country's development orientation towards 2045, with a focus on science, technology, innovation, and high-quality human resources.

The Ambassador emphasised that Vietnam's stable political foundation, its network of free trade agreements, and deep economic integration create favourable conditions for Austrian businesses to expand investments, business operations, and regional market connections.

In discussions with State Parliament President Harald Sonderegger, both parties explored ways to enhance economic cooperation, education, vocational training (particularly in nursing), and technology. They assessed the trust and successful cooperation models of Austrian enterprises in Vietnam as a foundation for expanding connections, especially supporting Vorarlberg's small and medium enterprises in exploring the market, production partners, and supply sources in Vietnam. Implementing cooperation programs with tangible results is essential for deepening Vietnam-Austria relations in general and Vietnam-Vorarlberg ties in particular, with the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2027 in mind.
