WVR - On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026) and in the jubilant atmosphere following the success of the 14th National Party Congress, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation held a flower-laying ceremony in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh Square in Moscow on the morning of February 3, 2026.

Vietnamese Embassy in Russia lays flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh in Moscow: Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi lays flowers in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his square in Moscow.

The delegation, led by Ambassador of Vietnam to the Russian Federation Dang Minh Khoi, included numerous Embassy staff, representatives from agencies alongside the Embassy, representatives of Vietnamese organizations and associations in Russia, and Vietnamese students studying in Moscow.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation respectfully laid a bouquet of fresh flowers at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh, expressing deep gratitude for his immense contributions as a genius leader, founder, and trainer of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a national liberation hero, and an outstanding cultural figure. The delegates observed a moment of silence to remember him and reflected on the 96-year journey of the Party's glorious development, from the first "red seeds" to the great victories of the Vietnamese revolution, leading the country to become increasingly "prosperous and beautiful".

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi emphasized the special significance of this year's flower-laying event, taking place right after the 14th National Congress of the Party. He regarded it as an opportunity for each official, Party member, and overseas Vietnamese to "report achievements to Uncle Ho" regarding accomplishments in recent times. The Ambassador affirmed that the staff and Party members of Vietnamese agencies in Russia and the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation always uphold the spirit of solidarity and unity, determined to successfully implement the resolutions of the Party's 14th Congress, contributing to the country's growing prosperity.

At the end of the ceremony, the delegates took a commemorative photo at the foot of President Ho Chi Minh's statue. The vibrant bouquets at Ho Chi Minh Square in the heart of Moscow serve as a reminder for each official, Party member, and overseas Vietnamese in the Russian Federation to always look towards the homeland, preserve cultural identity and national pride, and unite for the goal of building a more prosperous and happy Vietnam.
