Vietnam Travel Day 2026 opens opportunities for inter-regional tourism products

WVR - From August 15-17, Vietnam Travel Day 2026 takes place in Gia Lai, opening opportunities for business connections, developing inter-regional products, and expanding the international tourist market, with a focus on exploiting the tourism space from Quy Nhon beach to the vast Central Highlands.

Vietnam Travel Day 2026 is organized in Gia Lai province, attracting the participation of travel companies, accommodation providers, and both domestic and international tourism partners. The event aims to strengthen connections between businesses and destinations, thereby promoting the creation of new products and itineraries.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, said that in the context of increasing competition, destinations need to focus on market connectivity and creating unique experiences. Gia Lai has the advantage of diverse tourism spaces, from Quy Nhon beach to the vast Central Highlands, with a rich system of natural, cultural, and historical resources.

According to Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, the spirit of “Gia Lai - The Vast Highlands Touching the Blue Sea” in the National Tourism Year 2026 is not only to promote the local image but also to transform it into specific products and itineraries. Notably, travel companies play a crucial role in connecting resources with products and bringing these products to the market.

The leadership of Gia Lai province affirmed that the locality will continue to improve the investment environment, complete infrastructure, enhance service quality and human resources, while creating conditions for businesses to expand their market and make long-term investments.

Gia Lai also aims to develop tourism in a quality-oriented, distinctive, and responsible manner, rather than pursuing the goal of increasing tourist numbers at all costs. Tourism development should be linked to the conservation of nature, culture, and the improvement of the local community's living standards.

One of the topics of interest to businesses at the event is building linked itineraries between Gia Lai and Quy Nhon. The connection between the sea and the highlands is expected to extend the length of stay, enhance experiences and spending of tourists, and expand inter-regional tours between the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands.

Ms. Bui Hai Huyen, Standing Deputy General Director of FLC Group, believes that the Gia Lai - Quy Nhon area has abundant resources, from nature, culture, history to cuisine. However, to create tourism value, these resources need to be connected with products, markets, and businesses capable of bringing products to tourists.

Through supply-demand connection activities, Vietnam Travel Day 2026 is expected to contribute to expanding the cooperation network, forming new products, and creating new tourist flows for Gia Lai in particular and Vietnamese destinations in general.
