Vietnam, Thailand Prime Ministers exchange congratulatory letters on 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties

WVR - On August 6, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung sent a letter of congratulations to his Thai counterpart Anutin Charnvirakul on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand (August 6, 1976–2026).

In the letter, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the significant achievements the two countries have attained across various fields over the past 50 years, as reflected in high-level exchanges and the elevation of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2025. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that, with deepening political trust and the strong commitment of the two countries' leaders, the Vietnam–Thailand friendship and cooperation will continue to grow in depth and effectiveness, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both nations.

On the same day, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul also sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Hung.
