During the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang highly appreciated the warm sentiments of Honorary Consul Ali Tezolmez towards Vietnam, acknowledging his dedicated contributions in connecting businesses, localities, and people of the two countries, thereby contributing to the increasingly substantive and effective development of Vietnam - Turkey relations.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang welcomed the initiatives and activities of the Honorary Consul in promoting Turkish investment in Vietnam, valuing the delegation's visit as a step towards realizing the commitments made by Honorary Consul Ali Tezolmez during his meeting with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on the sidelines of the IPU-152 General Assembly in Istanbul last April.

Honorary Consul Ali Tezolmez and the business delegation expressed deep impressions of Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements, affirming that Vietnam is a market rich in potential with many opportunities for investment and development. They also expressed a desire to expand their business, trade, and investment activities in Vietnam in the near future.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang emphasized that both Vietnam and Turkey are entering new strategic development phases. Turkey is vigorously implementing its "Century Vision of Turkey", while Vietnam is accelerating reform, innovation, and international integration, striving to maintain double-digit growth rates in the coming years to achieve strategic national development goals by 2030 and 2045.
In this context, the two countries have many opportunities to enhance cooperation, leverage each other's strengths, and develop together for the benefit of their peoples.
Expressing delight at the positive developments in bilateral relations and the potential for cooperation for businesses in both countries, both sides affirmed the need to increase exchanges and interactions between businesses, expand cooperation in potential areas such as Halal, defense industry, science and technology, education, tourism, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang expressed hope that the Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Istanbul will continue to play a role in encouraging relevant Turkish agencies to research and negotiate a Free Trade Agreement between the two countries, facilitating market access for each country's strong products, aiming for the trade turnover target of $4 billion as agreed by the leaders of both countries.
During the visit, the delegation held meetings with several localities, businesses, and Vietnamese partners to explore cooperation opportunities in the fields of chemicals, technology, logistics, trade, and services.
The Honorary Consul and Turkish businesses expressed confidence that Vietnam - Turkey relations are facing many new development opportunities and committed to continuing to accompany Vietnamese partners to realize specific cooperation projects in the near future.
