The event was attended and addressed by Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Quang Long, Cuban Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Oscar Pérez-Oliva, along with representatives from various ministries, organizations, and enterprises of both countries.
The event took place ahead of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries (December 2, 2025), demonstrating Vietnam's commitment to expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation with Cuba in a new phase.

In his opening speech, Ambassador Le Quang Long affirmed that “Vietnam Day” is not only a national promotion activity at a major trade fair but also a special occasion to honor the brotherly, loyal, and exemplary solidarity between the two nations, which has been built over more than six decades.
The Ambassador recalled the iconic words of President Fidel Castro and President Ho Chi Minh, considering them historical milestones that have nurtured the bond and laid a solid foundation for Vietnam-Cuba relations over the decades.
He emphasized that this relationship extends beyond politics, strongly influencing economic cooperation, with Vietnam currently being Cuba's second-largest trading partner in Asia and the largest investor from the Asia-Pacific region in the Caribbean nation.
He affirmed that this cooperation is increasingly expanding in essential fields such as agriculture and food security, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, trade, and investment.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment of Cuba Oscar Pérez-Oliva highly appreciated Vietnam's active presence at FIHAV 2025, considering it clear evidence of the long-term cooperation commitment between the two countries.
Cuban leadership expressed the desire for Vietnam to continue playing a crucial role in trade and investment promotion activities in Cuba, affirming that the Cuban Government will facilitate Vietnamese enterprises in expanding their market and participating more deeply in priority projects during Cuba's economic model update process.
Vietnam's pavilion at this year's fair attracted the interest of numerous visitors and international partners. Vietnamese businesses showcased a variety of distinctive products and services in agriculture, food, consumer goods, energy, and supporting industries, demonstrating the increasing competitiveness of Vietnamese goods in the Cuban and Caribbean markets.
The diverse participation of Vietnamese enterprises not only meets the local market's demand but also reflects the determination to exploit bilateral economic cooperation opportunities as the two countries enhance business connectivity and seek new cooperation models.
Leveraging the role of economic diplomacy, within the framework of FIHAV 41, the Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba actively coordinated with local ministries to organize a series of networking activities for 15 Vietnamese companies operating in fertilizers, agricultural processing, plant protection, consumer goods, solar energy, and more, with Cuban businesses to explore the market and discuss potential cooperation in areas where Cuba has high demand.
The Embassy also supported businesses in meeting with representatives from Cuban ministries to understand Cuba's investment policies and environment, orient trade and production investments, and prepare for long-term cooperation projects in this Caribbean market.

Taking place from November 24-29 at Expocuba, FIHAV 2025 continues to affirm its position as the most important trade promotion event in Cuba and the Caribbean region.
The fair gathers numerous businesses and international delegations, with many new thematic pavilions related to export product development, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, tourism, and innovation. Throughout the fair, various forums, investment conferences, and trade events are organized, creating an open networking space for global businesses.
The “Vietnam Day” event at FIHAV 2025, along with the active presence of Vietnamese businesses and the networking activities organized by the Embassy, continues to affirm the deep and effective bond of Vietnam-Cuba cooperation.
This is evidence of the relentless efforts of both countries to renew cooperation opportunities, inherit the special friendship tradition, and move towards increasingly practical and sustainable economic-trade cooperation in the future.
