The celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification was a particularly important event, not only for the people of Vietnam but also for international friends who stood in solidarity with and supported Vietnam during its struggle for national independence.
China, Laos, and Cambodia are neighboring countries with long-standing traditional friendships with Vietnam, sharing close historical ties in the common cause of national liberation, as well as in the construction and defense of the nation.
Vietnam’s invitation to the Ministries of National Defense of China, Laos and Cambodia to dispatch military contingents to the parade served as a concrete embodiment of the foreign defense policy pursued by the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense. It also demonstrated Vietnam’s commitment to genuine international solidarity and its respect for the support and friendship of international partners.
The participation of the military forces from China, Laos and Cambodia made a meaningful contribution to the success of the event, affirming Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification, and multilateralization, being a friend and a reliable partner to all countries.
