On the morning of April 27, in Ho Chi Minh City, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), General Secretary, President To Lam, along with the Central Working Group, visited former Politburo members and former Presidents Nguyen Minh Triet, Truong Tan Sang; prior to that, they visited former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
Accompanying him were Politburo members: Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission; Le Minh Tri, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Internal Affairs Commission; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Policies and Strategies; General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; General Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; former Politburo members, Central Committee members, leaders, former leaders of the Party, State, central departments, ministries, sectors, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, General Secretary, President To Lam inquired about the health and family life of the former Party and State leaders, expressing appreciation for their contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the country's development process.
General Secretary, President To Lam hopes that the former Party and State leaders remain in good health, continue to pay attention, follow, and contribute many heartfelt and valuable opinions for the development of the country, for the prosperity and happiness of the people, and join the entire Party, military, and people in successfully implementing the targets, goals, and tasks of the 14th Party Congress Resolution, contributing to building a stronger, more civilized, and prosperous nation.

On this occasion, the former Party and State leaders expressed their emotions at the affection and concern of the Party and State leaders; they were delighted with the significant socio-economic achievements the country has attained over the past year.
The former Party and State leaders are confident that under the leadership of the Party, the support of the National Assembly, the management of the Government, and the solidarity and unity of the entire people and military, Vietnam will continue to achieve successes in the new development phase.
On the same morning, General Secretary, President To Lam and the Central Working Group visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Huynh Thi Lo (born in 1937, whose husband and son are martyrs), residing in Ap Mui Lon 2, Tan An Hoi Commune, Ho Chi Minh City.

General Secretary, President To Lam and the Working Group expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation for the sacrifices and contributions of the martyrs in the struggle for national independence and freedom.
Kindly inquiring about the health and life of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Huynh Thi Lo, General Secretary, President To Lam hopes that she continues to live happily and healthily, serving as a spiritual support for her descendants; continues to uphold the revolutionary tradition, being a shining example in the community; contributing to building a more prosperous and civilized homeland.
