The Ambassador conveyed his best wishes to Lao Ambassador to Indonesia Phomma Sidsena and his staff and expressed his belief that the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries will increase, including the contribution of the Vietnamese and Lao Embassies in Indonesia through various exchanges and collaboration activities.
The Vietnamese Ambassador took the occasion to review the cooperation and coordination activities between the two embassies over the years, especially those to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties and 45 years of signing the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.
For his part, Ambassador Sidsena thanked the Vietnamese Embassy delegation for the meaningful wishes on the occasion of the traditional new year festival, and shared the country's achievements as well as Laos-Vietnam relations over the past time. He emphasised that the fact that President Vo Van Thuong has chosen Laos as the destination for his first foreign trip since assuming his new position and just before the traditional Bounpimay reflects the special relationship between the two countries.
With the COVID-19 pandemic under control and the resumption of direct flights, the Lao Ambassador hopes that people-to-people exchange activities between the two countries as well as between the two Embassies will continue to be enhanced, contributing to promoting closer ties between Laos and Vietnam.
