Amid escalating security tensions in the Middle East, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel urges Vietnamese citizens to remain vigilant and strictly adhere to local safety regulations.
According to the Embassy, on the morning of February 28, Israel launched preemptive strikes targeting several military objectives and strategic infrastructure in Iran. Based on the situation assessment, Israel's Home Front Command decided to shift nationwide operations from “full operation” to “essential operations only”.
As a result, all educational activities are suspended; mass gatherings are prohibited; workplaces and facilities are closed, except for essential services.
This policy is effective from 8 AM on February 28 to 8 PM on March 2. Residents are advised to stay near shelters, closely monitor missile alerts, and be ready to act immediately when alarms sound.
Additionally, Israel's airspace is closed to civilian flights until further notice. All commercial flights to and from Israel are temporarily halted.
Several foreign embassies in Israel, including those of the US, UK, and Poland, have also advised their citizens to strictly follow local government instructions, limit unnecessary travel, and prepare to leave Israel when conditions allow.
In light of the situation, to ensure absolute safety for people and property, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel advises the Vietnamese community to seriously implement the following:
First, fully comply with the security and safety measures and guidelines of the local authorities; regularly update information through Vietnamese associations and groups in Israel to stay informed and exchange information when necessary.
Second, minimize travel between cities during this sensitive period; try to stay near areas with shelters; proactively develop plans to ensure personal and family safety; be ready to return to Vietnam or move to a third country when permitted.
Third, maintain regular contact with the Embassy. In emergencies or for consular assistance, please contact the hotline: 972 555 025 616 and 972 508 783 373.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel stated it will continue to closely monitor the situation and promptly update the community.
