During the meeting, Deputy Minister Ngo Le Van welcomed Mr. Peng Chuan Yu and the Anhui delegation to Vietnam, appreciating the positive results in local cooperation between the two countries in recent times.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that Vietnam values and supports strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Vietnamese and Chinese localities, thereby contributing to solidifying the social foundation, enhancing mutual understanding, and promoting the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China to develop more substantively and effectively.

Discussing the RCEP Local Cooperation Forum in 2027, Deputy Minister Ngo Le Van assessed that this is a meaningful activity, creating opportunities for localities, businesses, and partners in the region to enhance connectivity, exchange experiences, and expand cooperation.

The Deputy Minister proposed that relevant agencies in Vietnam and Anhui Province closely coordinate in preparing and organizing the Forum; actively exchange on content, programs, and side activities, ensuring the Forum is organized practically and effectively, leaving a mark and making specific contributions to promoting cooperation among localities within the RCEP framework.

Regarding cooperation between Vietnam and Anhui Province, the Deputy Minister suggested that both sides further leverage their potential and strengths, promote cooperation in economic, trade, investment, education and training, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges; increase delegation exchanges, share experiences in local management and development, and expand new cooperation opportunities.

For his part, Deputy Director of the Anhui Provincial Foreign Affairs Office Peng Chuan Yu thanked Deputy Minister Ngo Le Van for taking the time to meet with the delegation and provided information on Anhui Province's preparations for the RCEP Local Cooperation Forum in 2027.

Mr. Peng Chuan Yu affirmed that Anhui Province values its cooperative relationship with Vietnamese localities and wishes to continue closely coordinating with Vietnamese agencies and localities in the future.

Both sides agreed to continue maintaining exchanges and closely coordinating in preparing the Forum; simultaneously promoting exchange and cooperation activities between Anhui Province and Vietnamese localities, contributing to making local cooperation a practical driver for Vietnam - China relations.
