Speaking at the event, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, Deputy Editor-in-Chief in-charge of TWVR stressed that in the time of deep integration with the world, as well as in context of mass media evolution, the launching of TWVR English version is extremely important. It will help meet urgent need of Vietnamese diplomatic missions, while affirming the status of the Foreign Ministry’s newspaper.

Deputy FM Ha Kim Ngoc congratulated and applauded the efforts of TWVR’s leaders, reporters, editors, technicians who over a lot of generations, boost the newspaper to its current status with quality, prestige in the field of diplomatic press in particular and Vietnamese press in general.
He emphasized that the new English version is an important bridge connecting the Vietnamese at home and abroad, combining the nation’s strength with its international power.
Also at the ceremony, Head General Director of the Press and Information Department, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang congratulated the entire staff and said that this is a great joy, marking a new important moment of the Newspaper.

Witnessing every development of the Newspaper, the Spokeswoman really appreciated the efforts of leaders and staff of TWVR. In less than a year since the launching of the TWVR online newspaper (September 2016), the introduction of the English version is truly remarkable.
The Spokeswoman also said that the English version plays a very important role in delivering news of Vietnam not only to people in foreign countries, overseas Vietnamese people but also to foreigners living and working in Vietnam.
