It is like a "green treasure" with the pristine beauty of Vietnam's cajuput forests stretching far and wide. The peaceful space here is very suitable for those wondering about going on a weekend trip or occasionally having a picnic with friends and relatives.
The Dong Thap Muoi Nature Reserve has 156 species of plants, 147 species of birds, 34 species of fish, eight species of amphibians and 30 species of insects. Among them are rare species such as snail storks, snake-necked storks (dien dien), gia day, black quam, grey heron, fire heron, ivory stork, and dang sen. Many species are endangered, as listed in the Vietnam Red Book.
The resources here were increasingly developed when Dong Thap Tourism Joint Stock Company cooperated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tien Giang to release more than 2 tons of fish, red tilapia and tilapia of all kinds, to restore the abundant aquatic resources inside and outside the cajuput forest.
After a short time, the number of storks returning to Dong Thap Muoi Ecological Reserve increased when they found abundant food sources.
The peaceful picture of "Western Trang An"
Trekking by boats gliding gently on the green moats, deep into the heart of the forest, walking among the many living nature species makes us forget the fatigue and noise of daily life.
