If the Ho Dynasty Citadel is the capital - the political, economic, cultural, social, and military centre of our country under the Ho Dynasty, the Lam Kinh Historical Relic Site (Tho Xuan) is the worship capital of the Later Le Dynasty, a symbol of national pride in a heroic historical period of fighting invaders and building the Dai Viet nation.

In particular, the road leading to the Imperial Citadel has a river called Ngoc River, which is likened to "the river of history". This flow originates from Tay Ho, looping in front of the citadel and Lam Kinh Palace. According to the book Hoang Viet Nhat Thong Du Dia Chi, the river water is clear, and the bottom has many beautiful round pebbles.
With more than 200 historical and cultural relics of a sacred "ancient land", the homeland of the Le dynasty, which reigned on the throne, maintaining "national peace and security", "society and peace" for 362 years, through 26 Le kings.
