The performance was put on in the spiritual complex of the Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area at an altitude of 2,800m above sea level.

The show was part of activities to mark International Yoga Day (June 6) which is observed by the United Nations General Assembly annually.

In addition to popularising yoga on the eighth International Yoga Day, the performance was to mark 50 years of diplomacy between Vietnam and India, and 15 years of their strategic partnership that fall this year.

Addressing the event, Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Pranay Verma affirmed that Vietnam has always been an important partner of India in promoting and celebrating International Yoga Day.

The widespread love for yoga in Vietnam has brought about a strong cultural connection and people-to-people exchange between the two countries, he stressed.
