On April 23, at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and spoke online at the 4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit.
On April 22, at the Government headquarters, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh received Monsignor Miroslaw Wachowski, Undersecretary for the Holy See’s Relations with States, on the occasion of his visit to Viet Nam to co-chair the 9th round meeting of the joint working group between Viet Nam and Vatican.
On the afternoon of April 21, receiving American Ambassador to Viet Nam Marc E. Knapper, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh called on the US to continue to promote cooperation with Viet Nam in the fields of economy, trade and investment.
From April 19-21, at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Speaker of the Lok Sabha (the Lower House) of the Republic of India Om Birla and the Indian Parliament Delegation paid an official visit to Viet Nam.

On April 20, in a phone conversation with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on Italy to soon ratify the Viet Nam-EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA) and urged the EU to remove the “yellow card” warning against Viet Nam's seafood industry (IUU) and provide with favorable conditions for Vietnamese goods to enter the Italian market.
Activities of the Foreign Affairs Minister
On the evening of April 18, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son had an online conversation with Argentine Foreign Minister Santiago Andrés Cafiero to discuss priority content to promote relations between the two countries towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2023.
Bilateral activities
From April 19-23, Chairwoman of the Viet Nam Women's Union (VWU) Ha Thi Nga paid an official visit to Cuba and had many meetings with Cuban Party and State high-ranking officials, in which the two sides shared the appreciation for the role of women in the revolutionary cause of each country.
On April 19, Head of the Party Central Committee for External Relations Le Hoai Trung held an online conversation with his counterpart Tong Dao, Head of the Committee for External Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Multilateral activities
On April 21, the United Nations Security Council (UN) Arria-formula meeting on hunger and conflict chaired by Ireland was convened. Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the UN, urged deepening cooperation between the UN and regional organizations in tackling the root causes of conflicts, building peace and preventing conflicts, thus reducing the risk of conflict-induced hunger.
On April 20, Ambassador Vu Ho, Acting Head of SOM ASEAN Viet Nam, attended the 8th meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Council Working Group on Public Health Emergencies (ACCWG-PHE) and the ASEAN Joint Consultative Meeting (JCM), which were held online.

On April 18, Ambassador Nguyen Hai Bang, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to ASEAN, attended the first meeting of the ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee (ACCC) this year at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson
On April 21, at the regular press briefing, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang said that Viet Nam is of the view to applying the most favorable conditions for foreigners to enter Viet Nam. She provided information about the preparation of military exercises between Viet Nam and Russia and the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination for children aged from 5-11. Spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang also informed that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to attend the ASEAN-US Special Summit and pay a visit to the US and the United Nations from May 12-13.
