The central province of Quang Binh is determined to eradicate temporary and dilapidated housing for poor and near-poor households by September 2025.
In line with the provincial Party Committee’s resolution, the provincial Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union has launched a campaign calling on its members to contribute 20,000 workdays to this effort.
Youth union branches are requested to engage members in house construction and renovation with specific targets.
The union is also boosting communications to raise public awareness of Party and State policies, while encouraging youth participation in fundraising and support for disadvantaged households and families of revolution contributors.
Additionally, local youth union units are told to encourage businesses to help with this effort, thus maximising social resources. Volunteer clubs and teams will also be established to provide labour support to ensure safe and high-quality construction.
To date, 27 houses have been renovated and 52 newly built, with 1,040 workdays contributed by youth union members. Currently, over 2,150 poor and near-poor households in Quang Binh still require new housing or repairs.
