A mark of MOFA's Party Committee at the 2026 contest on protecting Party's ideological foundation
On the evening of August 20, at Ho Guom Theater (Hanoi), the Government Party Committee will organize the Award Ceremony for the 2nd Political Essay Competition on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation within the Government Party Committee, 2026.

In response to the Competition, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has extensively implemented it throughout the entire Party Committee, receiving 574 entries with the participation of many party organizations, officials, party members, and the overseas Vietnamese community.
Following Plan No. 19-KH/DU, dated March 14 by the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the 35 Steering Committee of the Ministry Party Committee proactively led, directed, and organized the Competition across the entire Party Committee, linking participation in the Competition with political, ideological work, and the professional tasks of agencies and units.
The 35 Steering Committee of the Ministry Party Committee issued a plan to organize the Competition; the Ministry Party Committee required subordinate party committees to seriously implement it, while also determining that the results of propaganda and organization of the Competition are among the criteria for evaluating the performance of party committees in 2026.
At the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Competition received positive and widespread participation with 574 entries, far exceeding the allocated target of 100 entries.
The participants were diverse, including officials, party members, journalists, editors, students from the Diplomatic Academy, overseas Vietnamese, and the Vietnamese community living and studying abroad; among them were 10 entries from groups of journalists and editors, 50 entries from party members who are students of the Diplomatic Academy, and one entry from a foreigner.
The Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs selected 108 outstanding and high-quality entries to submit to the Government Party Committee-level Competition.
| Across the entire Government Party Committee, the 2026 Competition attracted 8,671 entries. Through various selection, evaluation, and preliminary screening stages, the Organizing Committee selected 578 entries eligible for judging; the Preliminary Council selected 311 entries for the Final Round and 131 outstanding entries to participate in the Central-level Political Essay Competition on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation. The Competition Steering Committee decided to recognize 75 award-winning entries across various categories and sections. With a wide-ranging implementation both domestically and internationally, and the active participation of young forces, students, overseas Vietnamese, the Vietnamese community abroad, and forces operating on the foreign affairs front, the Competition has created a distinct mark within the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thereby, it contributes to expanding the forces and space for protecting the Party's ideological foundation, promoting the role of foreign affairs and external information in spreading official information, strengthening trust, and promoting the image of Vietnam in the new situation. |
