Prime Minister chooses August 6 as Vietnam Cyber ​​Security Day

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 20 signed a decision designating August 6 as Vietnam Cyber Security Day.

According to Decision No. 1013/QD-TTg, the Vietnam Cyber Security Day will be held annually to accelerate the implementation of national cyber security tasks, raise public awareness of the role, significance, and benefits of cyber security, and promote the participation of the entire political system, all-level agencies, and people to ensure the effectiveness of the work.

The PM assigned the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and other relevant ministries, agencies, and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to work out specific plans.

Ministries, ministerial-level and government agencies, and the People's Committees were tasked with organising communications activities based on the plan and guidelines of the MPS and their own conditions.

The Vietnam Television, Radio The Voice of Vietnam, and the Vietnam News Agency were asked to put forth communications plans.
