President Luong Cuong left Hanoi for China to attend Victory over fascism celebration and to pay a working visit

WVR - On September 2 afternoon, President Luong Cuong and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation left Hanoi for their attendance at a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the world people's victory over fascism and their working visit to China, at the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping.

The delegation includes Nguyen Trong Nghia, Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information, Education, and Mass Mobilisation; Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son; and Chairman of the Presidential Office Le Khanh Hai, among others.

In the context of the deep, substantive, and comprehensive development of relations between the two Parties and the two countries, the State leader’s three-day working trip is an important event of great significance.

The trip, the first to China by President Cuong as head of state, coincides with the 75th anniversary of Vietnam - China diplomatic ties and the Year of Vietnam - China Humanistic Exchanges. It is expected to solidify the stable, substantive, and effective Vietnam – China relationship.

President Cuong's attendance at the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the world people's victory over fascism affirms Vietnam’s responsible voice for global peace, security, and development. The celebration reminds people around the globe of the profound historical significance, indomitable fighting spirit, and enduring aspiration for peace that the victory represents.
