WVR - On December 3, at the Central Party Headquarters, Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu received a high-level delegation from the Lao People's Revolutionary Party led by Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Salavan Provincial Government Padeumphone Sonthany, who visited Vietnam for research and thematic exchanges.

This significant event follows the successful state visit to Laos by General Secretary To Lam and his spouse, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation attending the 50th National Day of Laos; they co-chaired a high-level meeting between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

During the meeting, Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu affirmed that the visit, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Laos' National Day and the 105th birthday of President Kaysone Phomvihane, holds historical, political, and humanitarian significance. It is an opportunity to reflect on the arduous yet glorious journey of the brotherly nation of Laos, reaffirming the independence, steadfastness, and eternal solidarity of the Lao people.

Politburo member Tu expressed delight and congratulated the Lao Party, State, and people on their positive and comprehensive achievements over 50 years of nation-building and 40 years of renovation. He particularly noted the successful preparations for the 12th Party Congress, laying a solid foundation for a new phase of development. He affirmed that Vietnam strongly supports Laos in its renovation and development efforts, ready to share experiences and prioritize assisting Laos in implementing strategic issues in the new term.

Standing Member of the Secretariat Tu emphasized the special importance of the two Parties regularly organizing exchanges at various levels on theoretical and practical topics. This not only demonstrates the close and trustworthy relationship between the two Parties but also serves as a forum for sharing theoretical achievements and practical experiences in building a streamlined political system to meet the new development demands of each country.

He expressed his delight at the increasingly deep and comprehensive development of the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos across all fields. This contributes significantly to maintaining political stability, national defense, and security, promoting socio-economic development, and enhancing the position of each Party and country. He thanked Laos for its great, invaluable, and sincere support and assistance to Vietnam over the years.

Vietnam will do its utmost, together with Laos, to preserve, nurture, and pass on to future generations the loyal and close relationship, which is a strategic task of vital importance to the security and development of each country.

He congratulated Vietnam on its significant, comprehensive, and historically meaningful achievements after 40 years of renovation and expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will continue to achieve new and greater successes in the renovation process, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress and organizing the 14th Party Congress successfully.

Padeumphone Sonthany expressed joy over the increasingly developing special relationship between Laos and Vietnam in various fields, bringing practical benefits to the people of both countries. He committed to doing his utmost to continue preserving, nurturing, and passing on this special solidarity to future generations.
