Politburo Member, FM Le Hoai Trung receives Deputy Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman
WVR - On November 5, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Politburo Member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung received Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthy, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman in charge of political affairs, during his working visit to Vietnam from November 3-5.

During the meeting, Minister Le Hoai Trung welcomed Deputy Minister Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthy to Vietnam and expressed thanks for the sincere sentiments and desire to promote cooperation that Deputy Minister Al-Harthy and Omani leaders have extended to Vietnam.
On this occasion, the Vietnamese Foreign Minister conveyed greetings and an invitation to visit Vietnam from General Secretary and President To Lam to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman; he also extended greetings and an invitation to visit Vietnam to Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi.

Praising the outcomes of the 5th Political Consultation between the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs held on November 4 as part of the visit, Minister Le Hoai Trung suggested that the two Ministries continue to play a pivotal role, closely coordinating with relevant agencies to enhance political trust and promote high-level and various-level delegation exchanges.
Emphasising the needs and strengths of each country in the new development phase, Minister Le Hoai Trung proposed that both sides prioritize the prompt establishment of representative missions in each other's capitals; effectively implement signed agreements, including facilitating the operations of the Vietnam-Oman Joint Investment Fund, and propose specific cooperation programs and projects in energy, logistics, investment, agricultural and aquatic product exports, consumer goods, and the Halal industry.

The Omani Deputy Foreign Minister thanked Minister Le Hoai Trung for the meeting and shared insights on bilateral relations; he agreed with the Minister's assessment of the cooperation potential between the two countries and affirmed close coordination with Vietnam in the future to promote high-level diplomatic activities, maintain and enhance the effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms, and strive to further elevate economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
Discussing regional and international issues of mutual interest, Minister Le Hoai Trung appreciated Oman's strategic position and its efforts in mediating conflicts in the Middle East.
Both sides shared views on adhering to international law, the United Nations Charter, and the international community's responsibility in fostering an environment conducive to achieving peaceful solutions, ending hostilities, ensuring energy security, and maintaining the smooth operation of international maritime routes.
Earlier, during his working visit to Vietnam, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Al-Harthy conducted the 5th Political Consultation with Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang and worked with numerous Vietnamese partners.
