Based on the shared interests of both sides, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that the UN and Vietnam enhance cooperation in the following priorities: First, in responding to climate change and energy transition, he suggested the UN support access to preferential climate finance, transfer of new-generation clean technology, and capacity building. Second, he proposed the UN continue to promote international financial structure reform, effectively mobilize ODA and private capital, encourage digital transformation for inclusive development, and strengthen resource mobilization for Vietnam to accelerate the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs). Third, in light of recent complex developments in international life, the international community should continue to uphold the UN's central role, emphasize the UN Charter and international law, and strengthen international solidarity to address global challenges and regional conflicts.
