During an official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, General Secretary To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation met with General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain (CPB) Robert Griffiths.
At the meeting, General Secretary To Lam expressed his pleasure at meeting again with the General Secretary and leaders of the Communist Party of Britain. He expressed gratitude to the General Secretary and comrades for attending Vietnam's celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, sharing in the jubilant pride of the Vietnamese nation.
General Secretary To Lam stated that the visit contributes to strengthening the relationship between the two countries. Vietnam seeks to learn from the UK's experiences to inform major policies and orientations for national development in the new phase.
Welcoming and emphasizing the significance of the visit as a milestone in enhancing the traditional friendship between the two countries, CPB General Secretary Robert Griffiths expressed gratitude to General Secretary To Lam and the high-level Vietnamese delegation for their time. He appreciated the warm reception from the Vietnamese during their participation in the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. He highly valued Vietnam's significant and comprehensive socio-economic achievements in recent years under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and General Secretary To Lam.

Appreciating the long-standing traditional friendship between the two countries, CPB General Secretary Robert Griffiths affirmed that the entire global communist community is proud of Vietnam's achievements in recent years. He confirmed that the Communist Party of Britain always supports further strengthening Vietnam-UK relations and desires to enhance cooperation and solidarity between the two Parties.
Providing information on Vietnam's recent situation, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Party, State, and people of Vietnam deeply cherish the solidarity, support, and valuable assistance from communists and progressive people in the UK during Vietnam's struggle for independence and reunification, as well as in the current construction and defense of the socialist homeland.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the Party and State of Vietnam always prioritize developing relations with the United Kingdom, wishing to build on the cooperation achievements to continue promoting the positive development momentum of bilateral relations. This aims to elevate the cooperation between the two countries to new heights for the benefit of both peoples and each country's development goals, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and sustainable development in the region and the world.
In the future, to further promote cooperation between the two Parties, General Secretary To Lam suggested that both sides consider implementing activities to exchange theories and share information on each Party's situation and perspectives on regional and global issues of mutual concern, such as protecting workers' rights or sustainable development. He proposed closer coordination at political party forums, especially the International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties. On this occasion, he extended an invitation to the General Secretary to visit Vietnam soon.

Both sides closely coordinate to convey information about Vietnam's situation and foreign messages to the Communist Party members and the British public to foster understanding and positive support for Vietnam and the friendly relations between the two countries. This will facilitate enhanced cooperation between the two Parties and nations.
General Secretary To Lam hopes that the Communist Party of Britain will assist in reviewing and collecting traces of President Ho Chi Minh's activities in the UK, including documents on the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Providing information on the active cooperation of the Communist Party of Britain and the UK-Vietnam Friendship Society in promoting Vietnam's country and people, as well as organizing activities to preserve Vietnamese culture and language for the Vietnamese community in the UK, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Britain Robert Griffiths affirmed that the Communist Party of Britain always supports further strengthening Vietnam-UK relations and the ties between the peoples of both countries.
