Accordingly, the opening ceremony of National Tourism Year 2019 and Nha Trang Beach Festival will be held on May 10.

The artistic show Seas and Islands of Vietnam will be held later on May 11, with the Colourful World Music Festival and closing ceremony set for May 13.
Some 50 arts and sports programmes will be held across stages of Tran Phu street with swimming competitions, bamboo baskets competitions, fishing competitions and reformed theatre and ‘quan ho’ (love duet) singing from Bac Ninh province.
The festival also includes scientific seminars, arts exhibitions and displays, sports activities and other cultural and artistic activities of Khanh Hoa, like the cultural villages festival at Dien Khanh district, art space at Cam Ranh city and food markets at Ninh Hoa hamlet.
Nguyen Dac Tai, Deputy Chairman of the Khanh Hoa People’s Committee and head of the organising board, said most activities in the festival are carried out by entrepreneurs, organisations, groups and individuals. Activities are organised openly with community interaction in mind.
The festival was held for the first time in 2003 and has become a commercial brand of the province. It is held every two years, attracting domestic and international tourists and boosting local tourism.
