This event, a flagship activity under a programme to honour Vietnam's sports, aims to foster a culture of physical exercise and enhance public health across the country.

Under the slogan "Run for a healthy, civilised, and united Vietnam", this year’s edition encourages participation by people from all walks of life, embracing the spirit of "The entire nation exercises following the example of the great Uncle Ho”.

The opening ceremony will take place at the northern city of Hai Phong's Opera House Square, featuring a diverse range of participants, including athletes, young people, students, and the general public.

Beyond its significance as a sporting event, the Olympic Run Day serves as a platform to promote a healthy lifestyle and raise awareness of the crucial role of sports and physical exercise in daily life. Many localities and organisations have also planned additional activities such as cross-country runs and military-style Olympic races, providing dynamic fitness opportunities and strengthening community bonds.

With strong support from national and local authorities and enthusiastic engagement from people across the country, the event is expected to become a major sports festival, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable Vietnam.
