On December 22, within the framework of a visit to Guangdong Province, China from December 18-23, a delegation from the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society of Vietnam, led by Deputy Chairperson Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa, visited the Belt and Road International Cooperation Development Research Institute (BRRI) and the Institute of Cultural Industry, Shenzhen University.

Welcoming and working with the delegation were Dr. Chen Hongba, Director of BRRI (Shenzhen), and Professor Wen Wen, Deputy Director of the Institute of Cultural Industry, Shenzhen University.

Speaking at the seminar, BRRI Director Chen Hongba warmly welcomed the Vietnamese delegation and provided an overview of BRRI's current development.

Dr. Chen Hongba highlighted that Shenzhen, as a core pillar of the Greater Bay Area (Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao) and a symbol of China's reform and opening-up, has not only experienced rapid economic growth but also a strong development in the cultural industry, continuously innovating and creating cultural breakthroughs.

He also committed that BRRI is ready to act as a bridge and hub, promoting the connection between Shenzhen's innovative experiences and Vietnam's development needs, creating sustainable and long-term momentum to enhance the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and China.

Professor Wen Wen, Deputy Director of the Institute of Cultural Industry, Shenzhen University, introduced the basic situation of the Cultural Industry Institute. According to Professor Wen Wen, since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Cultural Industry Institute has closely combined the strategy of "Building a Socialist Cultural Power", transforming Guangdong into a "cultural powerhouse", and making Shenzhen a "Model of Urban Civilization", adhering to "Academic Construction, Serving Development, and Science Strengthening the Institute". The Cultural Industry Institute has achieved outstanding results in scientific research, talent training, social service, international cooperation, project development, and school-enterprise collaboration.

Additionally, the Cultural Industry Institute actively participates in formulating central and local cultural development strategies, serving national and local socio-economic development, and actively playing an intellectual role. Professor Wen Wen stated that many policy advisory reports have been approved by leaders at various levels and have become important decision-making references for the government.

During the seminar, Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa, Deputy Chairperson of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society of Vietnam, expressed gratitude for the warm reception by BRRI and the Cultural Industry Institute of Shenzhen. According to Deputy Chairperson Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa, the development of Vietnam's cultural industry currently faces many intertwined opportunities and challenges.

She affirmed that Vietnam highly values cultural and social cooperation with China and noted that this visit to Shenzhen University aims to learn from China's successful experiences in science, technology, education, and culture, particularly how these areas support reform and policy-making.

Deputy Chairperson Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa emphasized that culture is the soul of the nation and a spiritual bridge between the two peoples. Substantial cooperation in the cultural field will build a stronger social foundation for constructing a Vietnam-China Community with a Shared Future, contributing practically to peace and prosperity in the region.

The delegation visits and works with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou.

The two sides discussed topics such as cultural cooperation methods, policy support for the cultural industry within the Belt and Road framework, and agreed to establish a regular exchange mechanism. They aim to deepen substantial cooperation in cultural research, talent training, project collaboration, and promote cultural exchanges within the Belt and Road framework, contributing wisdom and effort to building a Vietnam-China Community with a Shared Future.

Previously, the Vietnamese delegation visited and worked with the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou, paid tribute at the grave of Martyr Pham Hong Thai, toured the site of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth League Headquarters, the Whampoa Military Academy, and worked with the Guangdong Revolutionary History Museum from December 18-21.

On December 23, the delegation from the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society of Vietnam returned home, successfully concluding their visit to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.
