MB accompanies and spreads the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship

The support was sent ahead of the National Day on September 2, as part of the Support Program for the Cuban people led by the Vietnam Red Cross Society, in coordination with various ministries and sectors, under the direction of the Party, State, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

In this Program, the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) was honoured to be entrusted by the Party and State with significant responsibilities. MB coordinated the Launch Ceremony on August 13, 2025, while deploying various publications and communication channels nationwide.

Under the witness of General Secretary To Lam, the Party, State, and People of Vietnam presented the first phase of support worth 385 billion VND to aid the Cuban people.

The highlight of the Program is the transparency in the fundraising process. For the first time, MB – the unit that developed the Digital Philanthropy Platform – applied original design thinking to establish a dedicated landing page, publicly disclosing statements and facilitating the public to monitor contributions. This platform ensures transparency and convenience and mobilises community strength by applying modern financial technology. Within just 30 hours of fundraising, the Program raised at least 65 billion VND – an impressive figure affirming the effectiveness of this new approach.

MB coordinated the Launch Ceremony on August 13, 2025, while deploying various publications and communication channels nationwide.

As of 5 pm on September 1, 2025, the Program recorded 1.94 million donations, totalling over 390 billion VND. MB promptly executed the funds transfer according to the urgent task and request of the account holder, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, ensuring resources were transferred swiftly and for the intended purpose.

This initial success affirms MB's pioneering role in applying technology, connecting social resources, and accompanying the nation's essential tasks.

Building on the achieved results, MB commits to continue effectively implementing social welfare programs, sustainable development, and international cooperation. This is also how MB contributes to nurturing and spreading the special Vietnam-Cuba friendship. This exemplary, loyal relationship transcends time between the two nations across the Eastern and Western hemispheres.
