India welcomes Vietnamese candidates to utilize ICCR scholarships and ITEC programme

WVR - For the academic year 2024-25, the Government of India has awarded 61 scholarships to meritorious students and scholars from 27 different provinces of Vietnam.

The selected students and scholars under Indian scholarships will pursue 11 Ph.D., 39 Postgraduate & 11 Undergraduate programs at prestigious universities in India such as IIT Roorkee, Delhi University, Nalanda University, Banaras Hindu University, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Andhra University, Gujarat University, Kerala University, Lucknow University, Mysore University, Dibrugarh University and Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam.

The courses that Vietnamese students chose to study in India include computer science, commerce, business administration, tourism and travel management, social work, public administration, English language, water resource, apart from the subjects of Buddhist studies, philosophy, psychology, Pali language, and ancient Indian history.

As part of the scholarships, the selected students are provided with gratis Indian visa, exemption from tuition fee, stipend to meet living allowance, hostel accommodation and return air-tickets to and from India.

Apart from educational degree programmes, India also offers fully-sponsored ITEC training to officials, experts and academicians which are from week-long to several weeks in a very wide range of fields: agriculture, ICT, finance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, energy, English language and so on. In the current year, about 130 seats are available to Vietnamese officials. Separately, about 40 defence training seats are also being offered this year to Vietnam’s Ministry of National Defence or Vietnam People’s Army.

The Embassy encourages and welcomes Vietnamese candidates to utilize the scholarships for study and training in India. A2A Portal at https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in/ gives details of ICCR scholarship which can be applied around March every year. For ITEC, training courses in India take place throughout the year and details are available at https://www.itecgoi.in/.
