Inauguration of Vietnam's first Honorary Consulate in Poland
WVR - On October 15, in the city of Krakow, southern Poland, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland held the inauguration ceremony for Vietnam's Honorary Consulate.

The ceremony was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai, Counselor Nguyen Duc Quang, Ms. Monika Kolasa – Deputy Chief of the Małopolska Province Office in Krakow, Professor Aleksander Surdej – former Polish Ambassador to Vietnam, and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Poland and local businesses.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Ha Hoang Hai emphasized that the inauguration of Vietnam's first Honorary Consulate in Poland holds significant importance, meeting the growing demand for consular services and support for Vietnamese citizens, organizations, and legal entities in southern Poland. This is also a milestone reflecting new developments in the bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Poland.

The Ambassador congratulated Mr. Filip Marcinkiewicz on his appointment as Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Krakow, affirming that the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland will closely coordinate with the Honorary Consulate, support, and facilitate Mr. Filip Marcinkiewicz in fulfilling his duties, contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Mr. Filip Marcinkiewicz expressed his honor and sincere gratitude to the Vietnamese Embassy for entrusting him with this position. The new Honorary Consul stated his clear understanding of his responsibilities and committed to striving to promote cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, education, culture, and people-to-people exchanges; promoting the culture, image of the country, and people of Vietnam in Krakow and the southern Poland region.
He also pledged to provide protection and consular support for businesses and the Vietnamese community within his consular jurisdiction.
