Throughout the past 50 years, Laos has affirmed that its revolutionary tradition serves as a lesson in continuing to lead the country forward, which is: “Steadfast in socialist ideals, promoting national unity to perfect a strong people's democracy, building socialism from the people, by the people, and for the people, ensuring all state power truly belongs to the people and striving wholeheartedly for the people's happiness”. This is the steadfast ideal of the Party and the aspiration of the Lao people, especially the younger generation, to guide the country firmly towards socialism.
The parade commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Laos National Day is one of the largest events ever in the land of a million elephants, featuring national defense and security forces, ministries, ethnic communities, and aerial displays by helicopters and fighter jets. The event marks a historical milestone, showcasing national unity and Laos' international friendship.
