This is the highest honor of the Lao People's Democratic Republic awarded to General Secretary To Lam for his significant contributions in fostering the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and peoples of Laos and Vietnam.
Attending the ceremony were: General Secretary To Lam and his spouse, along with General Secretary, President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse; high-level delegations from both Vietnam and Laos.
At the ceremony, after receiving the Laos National Gold Order – the highest honor from the Party, State, and People of Laos, awarded by General Secretary, President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary Tô Lâm expressed his honor and emotion, considering it a great pride and a vivid testament to the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos – a relationship that has become an exemplary, timeless symbol of comradeship and brotherhood.

The head of the Communist Party of Vietnam expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Party, State, and People of Laos for this high honor. General Secretary To Lam expressed his gratitude and remembrance of the great oPresident Ho Chi Minh, beloved President Kaysone Phomvihane, and President Souphanouvong – those who directly nurtured, built, and laid the solid foundation for the special friendship between the two nations with sincere hearts and wise intellect, aspiring for prosperous development, bringing prosperity and happiness to the people, so that today we can always be proud of the enduring, faithful Vietnam-Laos solidarity and friendship.

The General Secretary affirmed that he will, together with the leadership of the Party and State of Vietnam, make every effort, along with the leadership of the Party and State of Laos, to nurture the “faithful and steadfast” Vietnam-Laos relationship to further develop, worthy of the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations, meeting the aspirations of the people of both countries.
