Throughout the forum, lively discussions highlighted issues of mutual concern between the two sides.

The contributions from the delegates reflected a deep commitment and high responsibility in promoting the relationship and specific areas of cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.

Notably, at the first seminar themed "Science, Technology, Healthcare: New Drivers for People's Cooperation", delegates proposed cooperation in research and production of new-generation cancer drugs between Russia and Vietnam.

According to Phan Anh Son, the relationship between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union, now the Russian Federation, is a special one, built on a solid foundation of traditional friendship, trust, and close ties between the peoples of the two countries.

In the context of unpredictable regional and international changes, cooperation in potential areas such as economy-trade-investment, cultural-artistic collaboration, and legislative cooperation between the two countries needs to be strengthened.

Besides promoting traditional friendship, people-to-people diplomacy should focus on leveraging business networks and local connections, cultural exchanges, and more.

This brings practical and effective significance, aligning with the direction and strategy for developing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and Russia, as well as the guidance of the leaders of both countries.

Sharing at the event, Vyacheslav G. Kalganov, Deputy Chairman of the Saint Petersburg's Committee for External Relations, expressed gratitude to the Vietnamese friends, including Vietnamese community in Russi in general and Fund "Tradition and Friendship" in particular, delegates, and media agencies from both countries for contributing to the success of the forum.

According to Vyacheslav G. Kalganov, the forum brought together diverse elements, all converging into a common voice and nurturing the aspiration to continue strengthening and enhancing the relationship between the two countries.

This also shows respect for the previous generations who contributed to building the Vietnam-Russia friendship. Therefore, the Russian people will continue to nurture the friendship between the two countries with concrete actions and tangible results, especially in the fields of economy and community cooperation.

With a rich content comprising three seminars and one plenary session, the delegates at the Vietnam-Russia People's Forum proposed solutions and recommendations in four main areas: Science, technology, healthcare; economy, trade, law, and tourism; culture, education, arts; people-to-people exchange and local cooperation.

On behalf of Vietnamese community in Russia, Mr. Do Xuan Hoang, Chairman of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Russian Federation, emphasized: “There is a Vietnamese saying: One hand alone cannot make a clap*. The remarkable success of the first Vietnam–Russia People’s Forum is the result of the joint efforts and coordination of both sides.”

He noted that the Forum brought together diverse representatives, leading to multiple concerns and perspectives. Yet, a common thread was the spirit of constructiveness, the search for opportunities, and practical activities aimed at further strengthening bilateral relations.

Mr. Hoang also stressed that the Vietnamese community in Russia will wholeheartedly support the efforts of both countries. He underlined that the fine relations between Vietnam and Russia were built through hardships by successive generations, and the best way to honour their legacy is to carry forward their cause, safeguard achievements, and keep moving ahead.
